My lastest love

My family and I go play Ultimate Frisbee as much as we can on Sundays. I brought my camera this time. Too bad the biggest family was late so we played in the dark and ended up at my house for ice cream.

I scored

Stacy was not going to play at first LOSER!

At least the sunset was pretty. Too bad we could not see the Frisbee! It makes it kind of hard to play.

Grandma was on babysitting duty!

Well we went to the fair

Where I saw somethin' I just had to have
My mind told me I should proceed with caution
But my heart said go ahead make a bid on that

And I said
Hey pretty lady won't you give me a sign
I'd give anything to make you mine all mine
I'll do your biddin' and be at your beck and call

I gotta have her
She's a one-of-a-kind
I'm goin' once, goin' twice
I'm sold

She's got ruby red lips blonde hair blue eyes
An' I'm about to bid my heart good-byyyyyyyyye

I am the sniper/swiper queen

I sat down just looking and saw two auctions ending with about 5 minutes left. So I sniped and got Jason's Christmas present and my birthday present all in a 15 minute window. And I think I got a good price. I can't tell you what it is because Jason is a snoop and he might check this to see or my credit card but I am hoping he won't think of that. I am so proud!

Family Reunion

Okay usually this consists of wondering people trying to figure out who is who but our family reunions on my mom's side are not really like that since we all grew up together and have stayed really close. We all go to lunch once a month just to make sure we stay connected. On Saturday we went to Bountiful Recreation Center. It was a lot of fun.

Jason and Brikelle loved the lazy river.

Addi loved splashing Jace

Is that the cutest wedgie you have ever seen.

After swimming we decide to go eat and visit. Then we were packing up to go home for Lori's prom but Jace got talked into going ice skating and since he is a professional he could not pass it up.

Try'in to be just like daddy.

This is so Brikelle.

I think she is ready to go now!

After we headed to the 80's Prom (with our kids) What a fun night!

We're gonna to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

On Thursday we went to Wheeler Farm to milk the cows.

Last Friday I decided to take Justin and Brikelle to the Zoo. It was hard with two small kids and one Autistic but we did have fun the first hour :)

Bye Elmo

Okay so I have told this story to a few people and they ALL advised me to blog about it.

So last week Brikelle woke up and went to feed her fish ELMO!. She kept saying, "Hey mom Elmo is sleeping". I did not really pay much attention until she was yelling it at me. The fish frequently does not move so I went to make sure he WAS moving. I saw him laying on the bottom of the tank not moving. I tapped a few times and nothing. So I proceeded to tell Brikelle he was Really Really sleepy and we need to leave him alone. A few hours later Brikelle had a chair up to the counter. "Mom he is still sleeping" I just laughed quietly and made the call to dad. Hey pick up a red beta before you come home. I proceeded to tell him the story. Just before he got home he called and asked me to distract Brikelle so he could replace the fish. When he pulled up Brikelle was outside and ran to meet him (she does this every day) Anyway, the new fish had to wait in the car for a few hours and finally Jace got the job done. Just before bed Brikelle came into the kitchen and yelled, "oh mama he's a wake now"!

Some say Bata fish live through anything, not true I managed to kill him. When Jason asked what happened I realized that I might have fed him too much. But in my defense he was always at the top and he always ate so I figured he was hungry. I am now following the directions and I hope THIS ELMO makes it a little longer than the last.

Growing up

This morning around 4 Brikelle came into our room and asked if she could go to school. Jace said no but allowed her to lay by us. Around 7:00 she truned to me and asked if she could go to school. I decide it was time to get up. She let me do her hair, she ate, brushed her teeth, and got dressed.

Do you notice anything in the way she dressed herself? (Her shirt is on backwards. I did not notice until we were in the car)

She was so excited. After pictures I heard her say "come on Addi you have to take me to school". I came down to find Brikelle carrying Addi to the car. As we were driving we were singing the duckie song after 3 times I said "Look Brikelle there is your school" She got so excited and screamed and kicked her feet. As I pulled around to the drop off the teacher opened the car door and I told Brikelle "she is going to take you to class" I wanted to walk her in but yesterday they told me to please just drop her off. Well Brikelle lost it. She was crying and kicking and flaying her arms and actually hit the teacher. I was stunned at the way she was acting. I wanted to pull around and take her in but the teacher grabbed her and shut the door. At that point I lost it. I felt so bad maybe her was too young right now. I felt so lonely without her that Addi and I went shopping. I did not want to go home with out her. I can't believe how much I was missing her. I called to make sure she was okay and the director said she was good, but I could not help feeling guilty.

I watched the clock waiting until I could go pick her up. Finally it was time. When I got there I noticed I was really early but who cares. She was smiling! She jumped into the car. I asked if she wanted to go back to school tomorrow and she said, "SURE DO"!

Please tell me I am not a freak and all mother's feel and act this way! PLEASE ;)

Please Someone Help!

Please tell me the 2nd book gets better. I am on Chapter 7 and I am not sure I want to read it! I can't look a head. I don't want to know what will happen I just want comments letting me know if it will get better or if I should stop reading it. I have called everyone I know has read it and no one is home. Probably because it is a Saturday night and everyone has a life but me.

Temptation had taken me

Temptation had taken me. I don't think my family will have me back anytime soon. So the buzz this summer around our neighbors has been this stupid book about vampires. Everyone is talking about it asking me if I have read the series. I have been saying over and over. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ FOR ENJOYMENT. I have been trying to stay on top of the reading my boss gives me to stay educated. So because of this stupid buzz I have refused to read or even get remotely interested in this type of book. Vampires DUH! I knew I would never read them because I hate to be trendy. I was standing my ground! I found out a movie was coming out so I thought I will see the movie then decide if I wanted to read the book. Even then I said I would wait for the dollar movies.

IT HAPPENED. I could not sleep Thursday night. SO I picked up the book my niece gave to my step mom. I was surprised how easy the reading was. I knew I would never finish it. I am just too busy and I have never found a book I could not put down EVER! It was 12:00 and I read until chapter 3. Jason was restless with the light on so I thought I should be nice and turn it off. That night I dreamed about the first three chapters. I found myself waiting for the sunlight just so I could read more.

I woke up. Fed the kids and turned T.V. on for Brikelle. I opened the book. I read and read. Stopped fed the kids and put them down for naps and read and read. Stopped went to see Justin and came back home and read and read. I found myself rereading pages to make sure I understood the plot. I FINISHED IT LAST NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. 24 hours and I had finished the book. I AM HOOKED! Sure my house is a mess and the dishes are stacking up (Lisa went home for the weekend)but I FINISHED IT. Today I start the second book. I am feeling anxious about not getting them all read before the movie but hopeful. I found my self yesterday in the car calling people I knew to tell them about this new great book I found. Most were still in the same frame mind as me weeks eariler but I am hooked. Temptation has taken me.

Wasn't a fan but one little gesture and I am now

Okay all you politics addicts. I have to admit I am not really that savvy with the campaigns. Yes I watch the news and listen to Beck's radio show but I really am not the best follower. As I was flipping the channels I turn to the local channels only to find the boring Republican National Convention on all the channels. So I decide to just watch it for a few minutes. I listened to Rudolph Giuliani finish up and decided to listen to Sarah. I love her. I can't believe what a great speaker she was. I had tears of excitement for her. I hope she is ALL she comes off to be. It was the speech about her family that I really connected to her. We can olny do so much as parents. At some point we have to take a back seat and allow them to live and learn. However, it was this picture that captured my heart.

Where do you think she learned it????

Here is the link for those who missed it

She truly does represent America's moms! Maybe we won't see a VP but I believe in the future we will see a President!
